MOHANLAL in Detriot

Last night we left home at 6.30 to see" the Mohanlal 2007 show" and came home at 12 midnight, with 2 sleeping kids to carry!This show was to raise money for a catholic church. so everyone here got tickets seeing Mohanlal's name- expensive tickets..$75 individual,$250 family, 500$, 1000$.(http://www.miindia.com)%20here/ donations to church get tax concession that people try to make use of it..
This show was much talked about. Then when the artistes reached USA.. there were issues which got e-mailed widely.We received 2 or 3 ..with replies from even the organisers about the show. They had POLICE , security since previous show was not well received.
(Jagdesh told Detriot had excellent audience comments was postive...at the end of the show.. Shweta said she was coming here to "chicago 2 nd time".. she is lucky ..only few said Detriot.. jagdesh had to correct her..)
I forwarded it to some of you. once we got it, told my hubby we won't go.. but since kids like watching movie of Mohanlal we thought ok.
There was laksmi Gopalswami,vineeth's classical, individual performance and both together,-v.good compared to others in their show.
Mohanlal's - few guest like appearance roles for skit was ok.. he did sing a lot of songs.. towards the end audience asked him" again song "to him.. He said u see they have to change clothes..then again he sang.. telling the same excuse.. he sounded embarassed..
All was impressed with suraj "the mimic artiste".. he did good imitations of Jadesh,mukesh, m'lal,mamooty and many others.. which kept the audience laughing and clapping.
songs my Rimi tommy, Ramesh raj both individual and combined was good. had audience joing in clapping..
song by shweta Menon was good.. though for her dance will say only ok.. you could see grace and elegance more in her co stars dancing more.(MOHNLAL,LAKSHMI.G,VINEETH..ALL HAD BETTER PERFORMANCE)
Mukesh and his comedy with Jadesh skit was the usual kind.
They had impressive dance master..and the girls from here were good too!
Their costumes.. "Wow"""" that'S the BEST.
Was ready to leave many times for this show.The earlier show we went for kerala clubs was only 15-30 $ and show was much enjoyed with franco coming out to the audience all the way back and having audience come on stage and sing.
Did not want to leave there.. but it went on for long time.. we left by 11.30..
