God be with each and everyone of you.
Got mail from venki...
"yes really it was a sad news. i was very upset . but what to do we have to some time accept the reality.
he is recovering from the shock. the boy had many complications. prem had given all possible medication but nothing worked.
now he is ok.
there is a good news also parellely that his wife became a civil judge just days before the boy's death. the family had taken that as a gift of that boy.
family had come down to chennai on a day's visit to meet a senior judge in chennai and they had come to my place . they are ok now. any way let us hope for better."
Congrats on the good note. Thanks venki.
Prem. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Zooming past
A demonstration in support of LTTE chief Prabakaran in Chennai last week... They were actually more policemen than demonstrators as trouble was expected. Our office was a fortress too and we had the para military apart from the police guarding our premises. But nothing untoward happened. It did bring traffic to a standstill for almost an hour. (Not the best of pictures, since it was taken on my mobile quickly... I didnt want the police arresting me :)
Here in Chennai, things have been slightly more interesting than usual of late. Pre-election campaigns, election results, post-election wrangling for ministerial berths by the Chief Minister, 'death' of Tiger chief Prabakaran (though some still believe it is not him) and of course the IPL tournament. Though Chennai Super Kings didnt see the light of the final, we tried to be happy that another South Indian team won the trophy.
The zoozoos caught our imagination more than the cricketers. They lit up our otherwise mundane lives for a while.
And now the IPL is over, the katthri heat is supposedly over (but the sun still shines mercilessly on the city) and schools are about to reopen.

Dr.Felix Moses
I am sure this is a good time for all those like Miller, Murali ,Rajeev,Sunitha, Annie, Grizalda,Prem, Venki and all those who had sir both in B.A and M.A. to come up with your experiences.
He was nice person so far as my experiences with sir is concerned, who suddenly would come up with teasing or comments. sometimes serious. Wonder what marks kids get now!
All those with B.A experience was a bit careful.. as they had both ends of the marks.
lucky us.. we got the higher end of marks! when we joined.Though we were scared as his range kept changing.
Any one else got anything new to say? where are you all.. hibernating... winter is over spring here!

From Grace
Hi Usha,
Lovely to hear from you. Yes, I'm in Melbourne, Australia. Been married for the past 13 years, and have two girls – Priya age 7, and Divya turning 4 in a couple of weeks. We moved to Australia about 5 years ago since both our families live here. Used to be in the US before that – in Bloomington, Indiana. Would you believe one of my cousins lives in Farmington Hills, and I've visited her a few times. How long have you been there?
I work at a university here doing HR and Finance related stuff. I've lost touch with all the MCC gang, and just recently got back in touch with Glady. Have you kept in touch with others? What news of them, and please send me more news and photos of you.
Keep in touch,
Grace

Money matters---- Life matters
The present world , see a lot of deaths some accidents ,Als,cancer, sudden- all of a sudden, kidney failures, heart attacks. .the list is endless. I know some of you have had the personal tragedy in your life and know of what i am speaking about...These are no more the old 70 and above age group.. they are getting younger and younger.. their kids 5 less or more- parents suffering with health issues, they not having work.
Even kids who are suffering 1 yr and above having convulsions, turning blue not breathing. Each day you hear/see a new suffering,i feel- how lucky we are , Those of us who does not have to worry about such things.Their parents cries still fresh. Don't know when our time will come.
Each day a person who goes to work here has no guarantee of them having work when they come back. Recently, 1 day back 7 of them from my husbands dept were told to pack and leave ,escorted by security, in few mins. so many other friends told us the same things.. so many we know not having job. Hope and pray that they get a Job and thank God for each day He takes us through-so many slips/spins in cars,so lucky many times.
Many of us have started cutting on food, gas, electricity, although its freezing cold. gets dark early..they increased Gas, electric bills almost 100$ -200$ more per month.
Many of them just quit their life, some trying different ways..
All of us are looking forward to hearing a good news and just pray. At this time you see, silly people ,insensitive and also some dummies walking from family and all the good things they have. Then i don't know how to react -sad for the rest, fight for the rest..
I am seeing all this in own family, friends circle and News its more, of course!.
When i hear many people talk about all this , i feel ,unhappy when a person who has both spouses working complain of not getting gifts for Christmas or something like that. When they do, i don't know what to say to them. Don't take it personally. If you do -think of someone you know ,who has a worse situation than you, in your own circle.
BE SENSITIVE TO OTHERS, KIND,LOVING ,UNDERSTANDING-If you know any one encourage them to speak.
( remember v's call-don't know if it helped make a difference for her) Wish we all could help. Now a Days we have no time for calling, writing or keeping in touch with anyone but the person you want to.
FRIENDS -I see ,and feel hurt for them all, that's why i talk and say the things i do. I say or write take care,God bless ,really thinking and praying and remembering the persons going to read it.Same wishes to each One of you ,my Friends and your family. GOD be with you all.hope to hear your achievements and Good news.. so wish u all that.I know bad also is there.
I really Feel happy and love it when you all post photo, message or comment. That's sometimes the things which bring some spice to our life. Or your chats, messages Forwarded also.

Our First Snow Ever
We got out of the first door of our building and then the second and saw the snow. It was a bit cold and we wanted to go back in. But alas! in all our excitement we had forgotten the keys. It was a condominium and you had to have your keys to get into the building and then into your apartment.
We stood there and thought about it and realized no one was going to go in or out of the building at this time (as it was a working day and it was around 10 a.m.). Our landlady worked a block away from our building at a grocery store. So my poor hubby went to the store in his flip-flops and pyjamas to get the keys from her. She had quite a laugh.
I am sure people watching him on the streets thought - Wierd immigrants!
