Dusty memories

For my reading, non-writing friends I take a short work break to give you something to read. I hope MK doesnt forget her promise to post over the weekend.
Talking of Maha, one thing I remember is that she stitched a curtain, on my request, to cover the open shelf/wardrobe in my brother's room in Selaiyur Hall. And she didnt charge me for it. We often took the train together as she lived in Chromepet and I in Pallavaram.
Grizilda very kindly lent me her best saris to wear whenever there was a funtion in college or outside that we attended.
Usha Sarah often bid goodbye to me at the station overbridge on fridays with a "come home" invite, which I eagerly accepted often. Verghese Avenue and House No. 1 there with the white hens and a lot of open space was like a mini Kerala to me.
What attracted me most to Annie's place were her two dogs, Ruby and Sophie. Sophie the black, an Indian mongrel, would sit on the chair like a human being with forelimbs folded and yawn loudly. The labrador Ruby was love and affection personified.
Break over. Let me search for more memories later. Ta.

Hey Rosh

You have a great memory and it is just amazing that you are able to remember so much. If I had not married Grizly I would have forgotten half our batch mates by now.

Keep writing more about college life, so that we all can enjoy. .... AM

Hi Rosh,

I sewed a curtain for your brother? I don't remember it at all. I am glad I didn't charge as I was only an amateur seamstress at the time.

Speaking of borrowing sarees I remember borrowing Usha Sarah's beautiful black saree with gold lines. I loved it so much I am now on my third black and gold cotton saree.
