The heart of the city gets to breathe and nap when the red lights are on at traffic junctions.
Remember our occasional trips from Tambaram to Mount Road? It was like going to another country - the long ride, Landmark, Best Wishes, BC and USIS libraries.
:)
And a bus stop near LIC building.

THIS IS A SIGHT RARELY SEEN. NICE PICTURE, BRINGS IN A FLOOD OF MEMORY. THANKS FOR SHARING :)
Mount Road is a motorist's nightmare now. There are separate lanes for 2-wheelers, cars and autos, and buses. You can get fined for trespassing lanes or not stopping at the stop line or jumping signals (thanks to cameras). But not everyone can be disciplined.
What u see on the right are bus bays.
UST: IF they fine the agencies/shops advertising through posters, I think the poster menace can be cured to some extent.
rosh, wish they did that or something.. but on other hand so many poeple pasting this may lose jobs also!
maybe they can allow posting only in 1 corner of that whole stretch..or come up with something like that.
